Internet of Things (IoT) The networking of arbitrary objects via the Internet with the aim of performing certain tasks through a largely independent communication between the objects.
– without any action on the part of the object owner. The range of application includes pure information transfer as well as for example automatic ordering processes or warning functions. In a broader sense, the term IoT describes the vision of a global infrastructure of the information society with a focus on consumers and users, which makes it possible to provide physical and virtual objects with a unique identity and thus enable them to communicate with each other – to the advantage of the respective user.
